Kylian Mbappe Is The Best Player in the World

kylian mbappe

Kylian Mbappe has set himself apart from everyone else in world football during this World Cup and has cemented himself as the best player in the world. Kylian Mbappe has led France’s attack this tournament and despite all the injuries, all the turmoil going on in the French FA, has been able to block it out, elevating his game to a level nobody else is playing at.

World Cup Performance

The World Cup is filled with megastars. The likes of Lionel Messi, Neymar, Jude Bellingham and many others have had ridiculously impressive performances to help their nations remain in the tournament. However, nobody has done more for their club than Kylian Mbappe.

Kylian Mbappe leads the Golden Boot race with 5 goals in four games, two more than anybody else so far. The French attacker has the most shots in the tournament, as well as shots on target, as he is keeping goalkeepers on their toes. Mbappe is not just scoring goals, as he has two assists, and he leads the tournament in goal chances created. He is the engine that makes the French attack so vital and so deadly any moment that he’s on the pitch.

France is currently in the quarterfinals of the World Cup, soon set to go up against England in a match that will be one of the most talked about in recent memory. If Mbappe once again puts on a performance as he has been doing in the group stage and in the round of 16, there is no player on the three lions that can stop him.

Domestic Performance

Kylian Mbappe is not just having some ridiculously improved World Cup performance. Mbappe is arguably the best player in all of Ligue 1, as he has 12 goals and two assists in his 14 games in the league so far this season. In his previous eight seasons in League, Kylian Mbappe has been apart of five winning title sides, with PSG on pace to win the Ligue 1 title this season as well.

Historic Pace

Kylian Mbappe is on a historical run that has never quite been seen at this level. Not only is he having international success, and domestic success, but he is on a historic pace that rivals the greatest of all time. In this tournament, Kylian Mbappe has broken the record for most goals in the World Cup before turning the age of 24 (9), surpassing the great Pele in the process and the tournament is not even over yet.

Mbappe already has accomplished winning a World Cup, and if he can do so back to back, he will bring France an accomplishment that has not been seen in World football since the 1930s. This tournament has solidified Mbappe as the best player in the world currently, over the likes of Lionel Messi, Cristiano Ronaldo, Erling Haaland, and many others, but this tournament can also be what sets him on the trajectory of being called the greatest player of all time in a few seasons.
